Clarendon, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Clarendon 2018 Double Murder: Wednesday’s double murder marks Clarendon’s eighth (8) murder in the ten (10) days, since the start of the year. On Wednesday morning a female political activist and a friend were gunned down in her home in the parish, while one other person was shot and wounded in the same incident.
The deceased are identified as Caroline Ford, otherwise called ‘Chin’, a shopkeeper and Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) activists of Bucks Common, May Pen, in the parish of Clarendon and 38-year-old Morris Whyte, otherwise called ‘Ants Head’, of the same community.
Ford and Whyte were both murdered shortly after 11:00 a.m., Wednesday morning when gunmen burst into Ford’s home and fired upon a group of persons in conversation.
Both were killed instantly, while a third person also sustained gunshots and was admitted to hospital.
Police investigators say that it is not clear whether Ford’s political affiliation is connected to the murders.
