Detectives attached to the Trelawny police division have laid criminal charges against a farmer, who reportedly stabbed another man to death in the community of Freeman’s Hall, in the parish on Thursday, September 3.
Facing charges of murder is 35-year-old Damian Smith, otherwise called ‘Jimbo’ , farmer of Freeman’s Hall, and he has been charged with the stabbing death of 36-year-old, Larry Holmes, otherwise called ‘Colongie’ of Freeman’s Hall.
Reports by the police are that shortly after 8:00pm, both men were at a location in Albert Town, when they got involved in an argument.
Smith reportedly left the location and returned with a knife which he used to stab Holmes in the regions of his chest. He then attempted to flee the scene in a motor car but was apprehended by a police team.
Holmes was rushed to the Falmouth Hospital where he was pronounced dead, whilst been treated.
