JDF Soldier Shot and Killed in May Pen, Clarendon

Jamaica Crime News, Clarendon: JDF Soldier Shot and KilledA Jamaica Defence Force soldier was shot and killed by gunmen, while at a bar in May Pen, Clarendon on Sunday night, June 23.

The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Private, Allan Oswald, who resided at Woodside district.

Reports by the police are that about 8:00 a.m., Oswald left his home to visit a friend, at another section of his community.

While on his way back home, he stopped at a bar, which was invaded by a group of armed men.

The gunmen opened fire on the occupants inside the establishment and while attempting to flee the scene, Private Oswald was shot in the regions of his back.

The wounded soldier was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
