JDF Soldier Killed in Hanover Motor Vehicle Accident

Latest Jamaica News, Jamaica News: JDF Soldier Killed A JDF soldier died from injuries he received, following his involvements in a motor vehicle accident which occurred along a section of Caudwell main road, in Green Island Hanover, on Thursday, July 25.

He has been identified as 29-year-old Damion Neilson, a Lance Corporal in the Jamaica Defence Force, who was based in Hanover

Reports by the Green Island police are that, Neilson who is assigned to the Support Service Branch of the 2nd Battalion was riding a Black Suzuki motorcycle in the parish of Hanover about 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On reaching a section of Caudwell main road, he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into the windscreen of a Toyota Vitz motor car, which was being driven by 21-year-old Ackeem Wright, also of the said community.

Neilson was thrown to the pavement and he sustained head and body injuries. He was taken to hospital by his JDF colleagues, where he died whilst being treated.
