JCF Opens Second Domestic Violence Center

Jamaica News, St Andrew: Domestic Violence Center The Jamaica Constabulary Force has opened a second Domestic Violence Intervention Center at the Matilda’s Corner Police Station in St. Andrew.

The Center was declared officially opened by the Commander in Charge of Area Four, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP)  Devon Watkis and Deputy Director for International Narcotic and Law Enforcement, at the United States Embassy during a ceremony held at the station grounds on Thursday morning, January 31.

The Center will be managed by a police officer, but staffed with trained Counsellors.

The Center will offer Counselling to victims of domestic violence and also the perpetrators.
