Janitor Arrested for Chopping Guard at Montego Bay Craft Market

Latest Jamaica News, Montego Bay(McKoy’s News): Janitor Arrested for Chopping Guard A 36-year-old Janitor was arrested and charged after he reportedly attacked and chopped a security guard almost to death, during a dispute at the Forth Street Craft Market in Montego Bay, St James, on August 25.

Facing charges of Unlawful Wounding his 36-year-old Melrose Phillips, of a Lilliput address also in St James.

Reports are that about 3:10 p.m., on August 25, Phillips traveled to the workplace of the Security guard at the Forth Street Craft Market, where an argument developed between them.

During the argument, Phillips used a machete to inflicted chop wounds to the security guard’s upper body, and then fled the scene.

A report was made to the police and following an investigation, Phillips was taken into custody and slapped with charges on Thursday.
