Jamalco Successfully Defends Clarendon Netball Association’s Senior Crown

Jamaica Sports News, Clarendon: Defending champions Jamalco recovered from their worst start to a season, where they lost their first two matches, to retain the Juci Patties sponsored Clarendon Netball Association’s senior league crown.

In the final played on Sunday at the Mineral Heights courts in May Pen, they easily defeated Mandeville based Team “R” 59-32.

They were rewarded with the Juci Patties championship trophy and one hundred thousand dollars.

Team member Kerryann brown took the MVP of the final award and beaten finalist Team “R’ was voted the most disciplined team.

The junior title and fifty thousand dollars went to May Day High school from Manchester, who outplayed Hayes Super Star 37-30.

The first time champions also copped the most disciplined team trophy and one of their players, Deborah Johnson was voted the MVP of the final.
