Jamaican Sentenced to 6 Years in Prison in Cayman for Beating Boss with Hammer

Jamaica Crime News: A Jamaican National who used a hammer to beat his boss almost to death at his workplace in the Grand Cayman earlier this year, was sentenced to 6 years in prison when he appeared in Court on Friday, June 15, 2018.

The accused has been identified as, 33-year-old Dain Damean McPherson.

During his appearance in court on Friday, the accused pleaded his innocence and informed the judge that it was an unfortunate accident and that he was provoked by his boss.

Justice Michael Wood told the accused that, he was not convinced by his plea and it is clear that he had the intention of doing harm to his boss.

The judge also made a recommendation that McPherson should be deported back to Jamaica after he has served his prison sentence.
