In today’s foreign currency the local currency depreciated by 40 cents against its US counterpart on Wednesday, according to data from the Bank of Jamaica’s daily foreign exchange trading summary.
The Jamaican dollar closed trading at $156.79 on Wednesday from $156.39 on the previous trading day.
Meanwhile, the Canadian dollar settled at J$124.76, down from J$125.26, on Wednesday, while the pound sterling ended trading at J$210.73 up from J$207.78.
