Jamaica Sports News: The Guyana Amazon Warriors handed the Jamaica Tallawahs their first defeat of the 2018 CPL season, when they beat them by 71 runs on Saturday night, at Lauderhill in Florida.
The victory was highlighted by Shimron Hetmyer, who became the youngest centurion in CPL history at age 21, when he scored an even hundred, to lead the Warriors to 209 for 7, the best total at the venue.
Shoaib Malik contributed 50 and there were two wickets each for Krishmar Santokie, captain Andre Russell and Oshane Thomas.
The Tallawahs were bowled out for 138 in 16.2 overs, with Glenn Phillips 43 and Ross Taylor 39, scoring most runs against Chris Green 2 for 19 and Imran Tahir 2 for 26.
They lost their last 8 wickets for only 36 runs.
