Latest Jamaica News, Kingston (McKoy’s News): Tarania Clarke Fatally Stabbed – A member of the Jamaica National Female Football Team was stabbed to death during a dispute with another female in Half Way Tree, Kingston 10 on Thursday, October 31.
Deceased is 20-year-old Tarania Clarke of a Kingston address.
Reports from the Half Way Tree police are that about 8:50 pm last night, Clarke and another female had a dispute over a cellular phone after they left the Manning Cup double header, at the National Stadium. A knife was brought into play and Clarke was fatally stabbed. She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The other female has been taken in custody by the Police.
Clarke represented Jamaica at the U15, U 17, U 20 and senior levels. She scored her first goal for the senior team in the match against Cuba in September 30, where Jamaica won 10-1. Clarke was also Captain of the Excelsior High School female football squad and a member of the Waterhouse female football team.
