Jamaica Local Ganja Farmers to Benefit from Agricultural Ministry 

Jamaica News: Minister without portfolio in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, J. C. Hutchinson, has announced that before the ending of the year, local ganja farmers in Jamaica will start to benefit from the Agriculture Ministry, through the cannabis market.

Mr. Hutchinson who was speaking at the 38th staging of the Montpelier Agricultural Show in Montpelier, St James, on Monday, April 22, stated that the Agriculture Ministry currently has two cannabis greenhouses, one in St Elizabeth and the other in Westmoreland.

He further stated that 10 acres of land is now being prepared and those ten acres of land will be planted with legal ganja. According to him, they are hoping that they will start reaping within the next three months, once this is done and has proven successful, they will be approaching the local ganja farmers to come on board and they will be provided with the necessary information so that they can grow cannabis legally.
