Jamaica Sports News; Newly crowned Caribbean women’s football champions Jamaica, were drawn alongside Canada, Cuba and Costa Rica in group “B”, for the Concacaf final round world cup qualifiers, from October 4-17 in the United States.
The draw for the two week long playoff, was made in Miami on Tuesday, that’s three days after the Reggae Girls finished atop the five team Caribbean finals at the National Stadium in Kingston with maximum points from their four games.
Group “A” will feature global powerhouse the United States, Panama, Mexico and Trinidad and Tobago.
The top two in each group will advance into the semifinals, with the finalists and the third place teams all qualifying automatically to the world cup in France next year.
The fourth place team will face South American team Argentina, in a two legged playoff for another spot.
