Jamaica Defence Force Helicopter Crashes in Portmore, St Catherine

Jamaica News, St Catherine: Jamaica Defense Force Helicopter Crashes – A Jamaica Defence Force helicopter crashed near the Forum Beach in Portmore, St Catherine at around 11:00 am this morning.

Reports are that the pilot is injured, however, the status of his condition is uncertain. Also, we were unable to verify whether anyone on the ground was hurt.

Basil Jarrett, a communications officer from the JDF stated: “We can confirm that a helicopter crashed in a section of St Catherine and that is as much as we can say at this time,

Security personnel are presently carrying out a search of the location of the crash.

Senior Superintendent Clive Blair of the St Catherine South Division said: “We are now searching the area to locate the site we cannot say how many people were injured at this time.
