(McKoy’s News) – Jamaica Constabulary Force Officers on ‘sick-out’: There are reports of several ranks and file members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force reporting sick on Monday (December 11, 2017).
It is not clear whether the absenteeism is connected to ongoing wage negotiations, but there are reports of police personnel calling in sick in the Corporate Area, Trelawny and St. James.
Chairman of the Police Federation, Sergeant Raymond Wilson has disclosed that he was not aware of protest action by the members.
The police have since rejected the Government’s six percent wage offer and wage talks are to resume at 2 o’clock this afternoon.
