Kingston, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Head of the Global Policy at Airbnb, Chris Lahane, announced  that Jamaica is selected as part of  the roll out of  Airbnb’s new service titled Airbnb Trips.

This new Airbnb service will accommodate visitors from around the world paying for unique experiences in Jamaica through the Airbnb platform.

Chris Lahane stated that the new service will greatly benefit the Jamaican economy. “I think they will also end up staying a little while longer and from a local perspective, this will drive more economics for local people. On the homes business 95 percent of the money actually stays with the host.”

Lahane told the Jamaica Information Service (JIS) in an interview that, Jamaica was included in the Airbnb service because of  its strong position in the tourism industry.
