St James, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Shineka Gray Murder Case: Investigators in the in the murder case of 15-year-old Shineka Gray, Green Pond High School student say they are now awaiting the Post Mortem Examination results and the DNA results to complete their case file against alleged murders Mario Morrison and Gregory Roberts.
Both Roberts and Morrison were taken into custody and charged with murder following the February 2nd, 2017 discovery of the missing student.
The Partially decomposing body of Shineka Gray who hails from Clarke Street in Mount Salem was discovered with multiple stab wounds in bushes at Irwin in St James after the student was reported missing several before.
The Sunday prior to her disappearance young Shineka left her home and attended the funeral service of one of her friends at the Dove Cott Cemetery in St James.
Her close friends gave statements that they followed her to the Transport Centre in downtown Montego Bay that said afternoon to catch a taxi home but she was never seen or heard from since.
Following a long three days search the body of the murdered teenage was discovered in bushes. This gruesome act caught national attention and a special team was swiftly set in place to investigate.
Both accused one of whom were caught in possession of the victims cell phone were taken into custody and charged.
The accused in the Shineka Gray murder case Morrison and Roberts both appeared in Court on April 6th and were remanded into custody until the last week of May.
