“Indian” And ” Poochy” Held With Illegal Gun At Sea

Jamaica News: Thirty-two year-old James Singh, otherwise called “Indian” fisherman of Seven Heights in Clarendon, and 25-year-old Nickoy Roberts, otherwise called “Poochy” of Sheeerer Heights Housing Scheme in Portland Cottages, were arrested and charged in connection with the seizure of two illegal firearms and several rounds of ammunition, found on a boat in the vicinity of Portland Bright.
Reports by the police are that about 2:00 p.m., lawmen were on operation at a section of the Portland Bright Harbour when they saw six men on board a boat.
On seeing the lawmen approaching, four of the men dived into the water and swam away but Singh and Roberts were taken into custody.
A search of the vessels led to the seizure of a Taurus 9mm pistol, a Ruger 9mm pistol, along with 390 assorted rounds of ammunition.
Both men were arrested in connection with the seizure.
