Indecom Still Probing Double Fatal Shooting in Clarendon

Jamaica Crime News, Clarendon: A team from the Independent Commission of Investigation have now been assigned to carry out a full-scale probe behind the fatal shooting of two men, which occurred at Palmer’s Crossing in Clarendon on Friday, May 4.

The two alleged gunmen who were fatally shot have been identified as, Omar Pennicott, 24-year-old unemployed of no fixed address and 31-year-old Elvis Swabey of 7th Road,  also in Clarendon.

It is reported that the police were carrying out operations at a section of Palmer’s Crossing on Friday afternoon when they saw both men in the area.

Upon seeing the lawmen, the men brandished handguns and opened fire at the police.  The fire was returned and during the exchange of gunfire, both men were shot.

One 9-mm Sabrique Nationale semi-automatic pistol loaded with three live rounds were taken from one of the men.

They were both transported to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
