Illegal Firearm Seized in Kingston 3

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: One illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition were seized by the Kingston Eastern  police on Tuesday night, November 27.

No one has been arrested in connection with the seizure.

Reports by the police are that about 7:45 p.m., a team of officers were carrying out patrols duties along a section of Chavez Avenue, when they saw a man acting in a suspicious manner.

The man was approached and upon seeing the lawmen, he threw an object over a wall and ran.

The object was retrieved and discovered to be a Smith and Wesson Springfield pistol, fitted with a magazine containing twelve live rounds.
