Jamaica Crime News, St James: The Anchovy Police in the parish of St James on Wednesday morning, May 30, seized an illegal firearm along with several rounds of ammunition and Leeds sheets at a section of the Moy Hall community.
No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.
Reports are that shortly after 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a team of officers attached to the Anchovy Police Station carried out an operation in the Moy Hall community.
During the operation, a premises and its surroundings were searched and the lawmen stumbled upon the illegal 9mm semi-automatic pistol with a magazine containing fourteen live 9mm rounds which were seized.
Leeds sheets which are used in the illegal lottery scamming were also seized.
