Houston, United States (McN) – The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office report that a Houston surgeon and her husband were found dead inside their lofty Richmond home on last Sunday, March 19.
Reports are that the incident took place around 10 a.m. Sunday.
Family members of Dr. Sherilyn Burrough reportedly contacted the police, stating that they have the couple’s 3-year-old daughter with them, but they were unable to contact Sherilyn. Her husband Daniel Burrough was not stating where she was, thy asked the authorities to make a welfare check on the couple.
Police say that about 12:30 p.m. they made contact with Mr. Burrough and after speaking with him, they feared his wife may be in danger, and went to the premise. At the home in Richmond the Fort Bend Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to negotiate with the husband, after hours of negotiations, they decided to force into the home.
Around 3:45 pm the police SWAT team used an armored car with a battering ram to push open the front door to the house. As the SWAT team entered the home they heard a single gunshot ring out, the lawmen fled upstairs the home and found the couple dead with gunshot wounds, from what appeared to be a murder-suicide.
Mr. Burroughs was found in the bedroom, dead. The Houston surgeon, Dr. Burroughs was found deceased in the bathroom. The police suspect the husband killed his wife on Saturday night and left her body lying in the bathroom.
Dr. Burroughs was a transplant surgeon at Houston Methodist Hospital, where she specialized in Crohns Disease, liver and kidney transplants and other renal diseases.
