Hotel RIU Assistant Front Desk Manager Dies in Hanover Road Accident

Latest Jamaica News, Hanover: A resort front desk Assistant Manager, who hailed from the parish of Hanover, died from injuries she received after she was mowed down by a motorist along the Norman Manley Boulevard, in Negril, Hanover on Monday afternoon.

She has been identified as 35-year-old Moya Nunez, Assistant Front Desk Manager at the Riu Club Hotel, and resided at Cousins Cove in Green Island.

Reports are that about 12:20 p.m, on Monday, Nunez was crossing a section of the roadway along the Norman Manley Boulevard, when she was mowed down by a 2002 Toyota Corolla motor car, which was being driven by Tyrone Quarry, a mechanic of Orange Bay, Hanover.

Nunez suffered severe injuries to her body, and she was rushed to the Savanna-la-mar hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
