St. James, Jamaica (McN) – Hotel Dancer Stabbed to Death: One man is now dead and another on the run following a stabbing incident which occurred at a popular guest house in the second city of Jamaica, on on Friday morning, April 14.
The victim has been identified as Marcus Stewart, 47-year-old, hotel dancer and front desk receptionist of a Kingston address.
Reports by the Freeport police are that Stewart who performs as a dancer at various hotels around Western Jamaica, booked in at a prominent guest house located at Sewell Avenue in Montego Bay.
It is further reported that on Thursday night Stewart came back to his room with the company of a male who he introduced to the guest house security as his family member.
About 2:45 am an alarm was raised at the guest house after a commotion were overheard in the room where Stewart and his family member was staying. The hotel security was summoned and following a search of the room, Stewart was discovered lying in a pool of blood suffering from multiple stab wounds to his body.
He was rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The man who Stewart earlier introduced as his family member had fled the scene and is now been sought by the police in connection with his murder.
