Hopewell Youth Arrested for Murder

Hanover, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Hopewell Youth Arrested: A youth who hails from the community of Hopewell in Hanover, was taken into custody in connection with the murder of another man in the community on Friday, January 5th.

The victim 27-year-old Keno Ottey, of Zion Road in Hopewell, was shot and killed about 1:30 am last Friday along Bamboo Drive while coming from a bar in the area.

It is reported that Ottey was walking along Bamboo Drive when he was chased by a lone gunman who shot him several times to death.

The Sandy Bay police were summoned, after they arrived on the scene they carried out a series of investigation which led to the arrest of the suspect.

The police stated that he is now being questioned and they believe that he could be slapped with murder charges in the next few days.
