Hanover, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Hopewell Man Killed in Hit And Run Accident : The Sandy Bay police in the parish of Hanover say they are now asking members of the public for their assistance in identifying the driver of a motor vehicle which mowed down a youth in the community of Hopewell in Hanover on Friday morning, October 5, 2017.
He has been identified as Michael Mittoo, believed to be about 24 years old and resides at PondPiece Housing Scheme in Hopewell.
Reports are that about 4:30 am on Friday, Mittoo was walking along the Hopewell main road from the directions of the Hopewell Mall towards Pond Piece when he was mowed down by the hit and run driver, who was traveling from the direction of Sandy Bay.
Mittoo suffered head and body injuries and was killed immediately during the impact.

The Sandy Bay police were alerted to the scene and upon arrival, the scene was processed and Mittoo’s body was transported to the Noel Holmes Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
