Holmwood High School Student Drowns in Manchester

Jamaica News, Manchester: Eighteen-year-old Jevon James, otherwise called “Jay “, student of Saw Mill district, in Manchester, who attended Holmwood High school, lost his life by drowning in a river, in the parish on Monday, July 1.

Reports are that about 2:45 p.m., Jevon and a group of friends went for a swim in the Blue Hole river.

While at the river, he reportedly met into difficulties and drowned. The police were summoned and after reaching the scene, Jevon’s body was fished from the water, and transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
