Florida, USA: Burt Reynolds Dies: Burt Reynolds, Hollywood veteran movie star, who rose to fame in the 1970s, has died at the age of 82.
Reynolds passed away at the Jupiter Medical Center in Florida. The actor had undergone heart bypass surgery in 2010.
In 1977 Reynolds directed the porn film “Boogie Nights,” which won him an Oscar nomination. He also played roles in movie hits such as “Deliverance”, “Smokey and the Bandit ” and “The Cannonball Run”.
His career took a nosedive in the 1980s and he lost a lot of money due to failed investments in restaurants and a Florida football team.
Reynolds is survived by his son, Quinton.
