Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: Two persons were taken into custody by members of the joint security forces operating under the State of Public Emergency in West Kingston, on Thursday afternoon, November 1, following the seizure of four high-powered rifles, several sticks of explosives and a quantity of assorted rounds.
The identities of the three accused are being withheld pending further investigations.
Reports by the West Kingston Police are that about 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, a team of officers carried out an operation at a section of Tivoli Gardens know as “Bumbs”.

During the operation, a premises occupied by the three accused were searched and the weapons, two AR-15 assault rifles, one AK-47 rifle, one Winchester rifle, fifty-four 5.56 rounds of ammunition, four .38 rounds of ammunition, eleven sticks of explosives, several gun parts and six empty magazines were seized.
The three occupants were immediately taken into custody in connection with the massive seizure.
