High-Powered Weapon and Ammunition Found in Central Village

Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: The Central Village police have reported that between Wednesday, April 18 to Thursday, April 19, they managed to seize several rounds of Ammunition and a high-powered weapon in the community, no one was arrested during the seizure.

The police report that on Thursday, loud explosions were heard coming from a section of the community known as Compound. The lawmen went to investigate and upon arrival, they saw three men at an abandoned premises.

On seeing the lawmen, the men ran. Following a search of the area, they discovered a magazine containing 23 live 9mm rounds.

On Thursday afternoon, the police carried out another operation at another section of the community known as Brown’s Lane. A search of the area yield in the discovery of an Intro Tek submachine gun hidden in bushes.
