Jamaica Crime News, Hanover: Detectives assigned to the Lucea CIB Department in Hanover say they have now identified two men as the prime suspects in the shooting death of a businessman, in the community of Green Island on Saturday afternoon, July 28.
The two men who are said to be from the parish are being sought in connection with the gun murder of Patroy Smith, otherwise called “Pauna” 27-year-old bar owner of Logwood, also in Green Island.
Man Sentenced to Life for Quadruple Murder in Linstead
Reports by the police are that shortly after 12:30 p.m., Smith was standing outside his bar in Logwood, when a grey Toyota Axio motor car drove up to the establishment.
Two men travelling on board the motor car stepped out and brandished handguns. The men opened fire hitting Smith to his upper body before speeding away.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to the Noel Holmes hospital where he was pronounced dead.
