Hanover Police Searching for Two Suspects in Connection with Murder in Green Island

Jamaica Crime News, Hanover: The Lucea Police in the parish of Hanover, say they are now searching for two men in connection with the shooting death of a man in Green Island, Hanover, on Monday, January 7.

One police source told our news team that they are unable to release the names of the suspects at this time, but he can confirm that they are now being sought for the murder of 21-year-old Leroy Hibbert, otherwise called “Ziggy” laborer of Old Green Island.

Reports by the police are that Hibbert was among a group of persons at a shop in Old Green Island, about 2:30 p.m. on Monday, when two men rode up on a motorcycle.

The men brandished handguns,and opened fire, hitting Hibbert multiple times to his upper body before making their escape on the motorcycle.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, the scene was processed and the wounded man rushed to the Noel Holmes Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
