Jamaica Crime News, Hanover: Hanover Man Held – Swift actions by commuters and a joint military team, resulted in the arrest of Hanover man, who reportedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend almost to death, while she boarded a bus in the Montego Bay Transport Centre in Montego Bay, St. James, on Thursday, March 28.
The police have withheld the identity of the accused and have since indicated that the female has been transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital in critical condition.
Reports are that shortly after 8:20 a.m., the female walked into the Montego Bay Transport Centre and boarded a Toyota coaster bus destined for Lucea, in Hanover.

The female was in the process of taking her seat, when the accused man who was lurking at a corner of the bus park, rushed inside the bus and stabbed her twice to her upper body.
As the woman slumped in blood, the accused man ran from the bus and was chased by several concern commuters inside the Transport Centre.
On reaching a section of Barnett Street, the crowd was joined by a team of police and Jamaica Defence Force soldiers. The accused was chased to a section of Barnett Lane, where he was cornered by the joint military team, and hauled off to jail.
The commuters commended the swift actions by the police and the soldiers, which led to the arrest.
