Hanover: Chester Castle Man Murdered in Drive-by Shooting

Jamaica News, April 17, 2018 – Chester Castle Man Murdered                        

Hanover, Jamaica (McKoy’s New) – The Hanover police say they are presently carrying out investigations, behind the shooting death of a man in the community of Chester Castle on Sunday night, April 16.

The deceased has been identified as Yakeem Miles, 21-year-old unemployed also of Chester Castle.

Reports by the Ramble and Lucea investigators are that about 10:15 p.m., Miles was walking along a section of the Chester Castle main road, when he was approached by men traveling in a dark colored motorcar.

The men inside the car brandished handguns and opened fire hitting Miles all over his upper body.

The victim fell to the ground in a pool of blood while the gunmen made their escape in the motorcar.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to the Noel Holmes hospital in Lucea where he was pronounced dead.

Since the start of the year a total of 14 persons have been murdered in the parish of Hanover.
