Gunmen Target 4-year-old During Shoot-out Near Montego Bay Airport

Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Gunmen Target 4-year-old: Several investigators at the Freeport Police Station in Montego Bay on Wednesday morning, related that they are very shocked at the brazen murder and shooting incident which occurred immediately outside the Donald Sangster’s Airport on Tuesday when a 4-year-old child was shot at by the gunmen.

According to the police, the 4-year-old boy who was traveling in the vehicle along with his father narrowly missed being killed, however, his father who was shot and injured by the gunmen was not so lucky.

Reports are that about 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16,  the victim who has been identified as 30-year-old Desmond Clarke of Bogue Village  was travelling in a rented silver Tida motor car along with a 34-year-old male, his 4-year-old son and another 33-year-old male along Sunset Boulevard in the vicinity of the Sangsters International Airport.

Clarke stopped at a popular car rental in the same vicinity to retrieve a tire, while driving from the parking lot two men armed with handguns reportedly opened fire on the vehicle hitting all the occupants in the car.

Clarke received gunshot wounds to his head and body, he died on the spot.  Both males received gunshot wounds and were assisted to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where they were treated and admitted.

While making their escape,  it is further reported that the gunmen noticed the small child who slowly ran from the car and they immediately fired several shots at him but missed.

The police further stated that they now have some leads and they are working relentlessly to apprehend those responsible for this daylight killing.
