Three heavily armed gunmen, and a woman, engaged members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force in a heated gun battle and high-speed chase in Mandeville, Manchester, on Thursday afternoon, March 10.
Reports are that about 3:15 pm, the Mandeville police received information that suspicious persons were seen in a parked motor vehicle, staking out a business establishment along main street Mandeville.
The police went to the location in the vicinity of Villa Plaza and attempted to intercept the vehicle, when the occupants greeted them with gunfire.
The police were forced to return the fire, and the situation quickly developed in a deadly shootout and a high-speed chase.
At length, the hoodlums which include a female, managed to escape in the motor vehicle.
