Gunman Shot in Kingston, After Shooting Windscreen Wiper

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: An armed man who shot and injured a windscreen wiper in Kingston on Thursday morning, June 13, was later shot and injured, after he was challenged by a licensed firearm holder.

Reports by the Constant Spring police are that about 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, the windscreen wiper was attending to a motorist along Dunrobin Avenue, when he was attacked and shot by an armed man.

The licensed firearm holder who was in the area challenged the gunman and shot him.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, the wounded gunman and the wounded windscreen wiper, were both transported to hospital where they were treated and admitted under police guard.

A Smith and Wesson pistol, which was loaded with five cartridges, which was taken from the gunman, was handed over to the police.
