Gunman Fatally Shot by Police in Granville, St James

Jamaica Crime News, St James: Gunman Fatally Shot One man who the police say was on top of the list of most wanted men in St James, was fatally shot during a confrontation with members of the security forces in Granville, St James, on Thursday morning.

This deceased has been identified as Amoy Young, otherwise called “Pinky” of Gordon Crescent in Granville.

The Granville police reported that shortly after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, a team of officers were on patrol along a section of Granville community known as Tenament, when they came under heavy gunfire from three armed men.

The police took evasive actions and gunfire was returned. During the confrontation, the wanted man identified as Amoy Young, was shot and killed.

A 9mm semi-automatic pistol fitted with a magazine containing two live rounds was taken from him.
