Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Another Gully Bus Stop Shooting: Over the past week, three men have been ambushed by gunmen in downtown Montego Bay and shot and wounded in the vicinity of the Gully Bus Stop.
The Barnett Street police say they are now investigating these shootings but in the meanwhile, they are warning members of the public of several such shootings which have taken place across the parish and the gunmen were said to be men traveling on motorcycles.
The most recent shooting involving these men occurred on Tuesday (November 28, 2017) night along Orange Street in Montego Bay. The victim, a 25-yr-old man of Albion was awaiting a taxi along Gully Bus Stop when two men rode up on a motorcycle. The pillion rider jumped from the motorcycle and brandished a handgun which he used to shoot the victim several times to his upper body. The wounded man ran to avoid being murdered on the spot while the gunman escaped on the waiting motorcycle.
Following the shooting, the police were alerted and on arrival, the wounded man was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was treated and admitted in serious condition.
