St. James: Green Pond Double Murder
St. James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Green Pond Double Murder: The Granville and Mount Salem.police are still searching for motives regarding the latest double murder in the parish of St James. Investigations have indicated that a young man and a teenager, who the police say were known violence producers in the Granville area, were shot and killed by unknown assailants in the Green Pond area of St James last Thursday afternoon, November 2.
The victims have been identified as 17-year-old Algy Ricardo Fairclough, otherwise called ” Red Man” or “Brown Man” and 25-year-old Lartese Tomlinson, otherwise called “CJ”, both of Tucker district in Granville, St James.
Reports by the police are that shortly after 1:00 pm on Thursday, residents of Valley Heights were alerted to sounds of gunshots being fired in a section of the community.
The police were alerted, and upon their arrival, searches were carried out in the area, which led to the discovery of both victims. The bodies of both men were found in bushes, not far from a dirt track. They were both lying in a pool of blood, with multiple gunshot wounds to their upper bodies.
The victims were both transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where they were both pronounced dead.
In the meanwhile, the police are saying that Fairclough is known to be affiliated with a well-known gang in the Granville area and investigations have led them to believe that both himself and the other victim had gone to Green Pond to carry out illegal firearm transactions when they were both shot and killed.
