St Andrew, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Gang Leader Shot: two Gunmen attacked the vehicle of a man leaving the Spartan Health Club in St Andrew yesterday morning, sending the business community frantic. Police have identified the man shot at as the alleged leader of a St Andrew based gang, who doubles as a business operator.
According to reports, the alleged gang leader was driving away from the gym at about 8: am on Friday, February, 3 when two men on foot clad in construction vests and hard hats approached his motor vehicle.
The men brandished handguns and fired a rain of gunshots on to the motor vehicle.
Security guards in the vicinity of the health club witness the incident and immediately took actions to apprehend and disarm both gunmen, securing them until police arrived and placed them in custody.
Police say the man in the car was shot in his side during the slew of gunfire, he was taken to hospital, but his injury is not considered serious.
According to the police a Ruger pistol, a Glock pistol and 22 rounds of ammunition were seized from the gunmen.
The man shot at is allegedly known to the police as gang leader for the reputed Rose Town, St Andrew based ‘Discipline Gang.’
