St. Catherine, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- G-CITY GANG MEMBER KILLED IN ST. CATHERINE: A man who the police in St. James say is a constant violence producer and an active member of the St. James based G-City Gang was fatally shot by members of a joint military team in St Catherine on Wednesday morning.

The lawmen also reported that an illegal weapon and several live rounds were recovered from the dead man. He has been identified as Paul Jay Lewis otherwise called ( Jay ) who resides at Cornwall Courts also in St. James. The weapon a Glock .40 semi-automatic pistol containing 12 live rounds was taken from him.

According to police reports the Leader of the G-City Gang was fatally shot during a confrontation with the police in the Salt Spring area. Following his death, Lewis and other members of the gang came out publicly on Social media and threatened to take revenge by killing several members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

A joint military immediately went in search of the G-City Gang members at what time Lewis reportedly fled the parish to St. Catherine.

About 6:30 am on Wednesday the police received information that Lewis was seen at a house in Grand Square in Old Harbor and an operation was carried out in the area. Upon reaching the location Lewis was reportedly among a group of gunmen who fired upon the team, the fire was returned and during the shooting Lewis was shot and killed and the weapon was taken from him.

He was transported to Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The police have indicated that they are presently in search of other members of the G-City Gang.
