The St Thomas police have launched an investigation into the death of an elderly man, who was shot and killed by armed men, while on a construction site in Anglican Lane, on Tuesday, June 15.
The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Isaac Johnson, otherwise called ‘Froggist’ a steelworker of Fat Stuff Lane in Trinityville, St Thomas.
Reports are that about 3:50 pm, Johnson was carrying out steelwork on a construction site, when he was ambushed by armed men who opened fire killing him on the spot.
A team of officers who were on duty in the community overheard the gunshots, went to investigate, and stumbled upon Johnson’s bullet-riddled body.
The scene was processed and the victim was later pronounced dead at hospital.
