Friday the 13th Shooting in busy Montego Bay

Latest Jamaica News [ Mckoy’s News ] Friday the 13th Shooting – One man was shot and injured during a drive-by shooting which took place in broad daylight, outside the busy shopping community of the City Centre Building in Montego Bay, St James, on Friday, September 13.

The victim who his a 27-year-old Customer Service Representative of Greenwood, St James, is presently at a hospital in serious condition.

Reports by the Barnett Street police are that about 2:30p.m, the customer service representative was walking towards the City Centre Car park, after transacting business in the area, when a motor car drove up to him, and persons on board opened fire on him.

The victim managed to run but he still received gunshot wounds and was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was treated and admitted in serious but stable condition.

The police were summoned, and the scene processed.

Over the recent weeks, a string of shooting and murders have once again erupted within the second city.
