Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Four Persons Shot and Injured: One female and three males were shot by gunmen and seriously wounded at Barnett Lane in Montego Bay St James on Wednesday (December 6, 2017) night. The victims have been identified so far as a 23-yr-old female, 24-yr-old laborer, 21-yr-old unemployed male and a 19-yr-old teenager.

Reports by the Barnett Street police are that shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the four persons were among a group of people standing outside a shop along Barnett Lane when they were approached by two men. The men brandished handguns and opened fire hitting all four persons to their bodies before making their escape in the area on foot.

The police were alerted and on arrival, the victims were transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where they were treated and admitted in serious but stable condition. Within the past two weeks over thirty persons have been shot and injured by gunmen across the parish of St James.
