Latest Jamaica News (McKoy’s News): Flanker Men Killed in Car Crash – The St Ann police say they are still trying to get a positive identification for two men, who were involved in a murder, and fatal accident which occurred in the parish on Saturday, November 30.
Investigators say a third deceased has since been positively identified as 27-year-old Ajohn McLeod, labourer of Flankers in St James, while a passenger who was injured in the crash still remains at hospital in serious condition, but under police guard.
Reports by the police are that about 7:00 p.m., one of the unidentified men was standing outside a restaurant at a popular rest stop in Draxhall, St Ann, when he was approached by men travelling in a Toyota Axio motor car.
The men opened fire, killing the unidentified male on the spot, before speeding away from the location.
A report was made to the police and a search launched for the men and their getaway vehicle.
The police further reported that about 8:00 p.m., they were alerted to an accident along the Llandovery main road involving a motor car fitting the description.
Upon reaching the location, the lawmen discovered that three men were inside the vehicle, two of whom were killed in the crash, and the other barely alive.
A search of the vehicle also led to the discovery of a Taurus 9mm pistol with a magazine containing, three live 9mm rounds.
Following an investigation, one of the dead men was positively identified as McLeod, while the other who is also believed to be from the Flankers community still remain unidentified.
