Five Vehicle Collision in Hanover

Great River

Jamaica News, Hanover: A five-vehicle collision which occurred along the Great River main road in Hanover on Monday morning, April 23, has left several persons being treated for minor injuries and all the vehicles extensively damaged.

Reports are that about 8:00 p.m. on Monday, the driver of a trailer truck was traveling from the directions of Hopewell towards Montego Bay.

On reaching a section of Great River Bridge, the front tire on the truck blew out and the driver lost control of the vehicle. The truck then collided with a White Honda CRV and a Honda Civic motor car which were traveling in front.  The truck also slammed into another vehicle which was traveling in the opposite directions and also crashed into a Coach bus which was transporting tourist.

All the vehicles in the crash were seriously damaged and several persons received minor injuries.
