The Organisers of the Herculis EBS Meeting have announced the line-up of five more world champions who are set to compete at the Wanda Diamond League fixture in Monaco on August 14, 2020.
World heptathlon champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson will compete in the high jump, her best individual discipline. World 5000m champion Hellen Obiri will race over that distance in the Principality. Olympic and World 3000m steeplechase champion Conseslus Kipruto of Kenya will headline that event, always a popular fixture in Monaco. Another middle-distance star announced is 2019 World surprise 800m champion Halimah Nakaayi of Uganda, in Doha last year.
Noah Lyles of the United States, World 200m champion will headline his favourite event.
Others on the slate include world pole vault record-holder Armand Duplantis; Laura Muir of Great Britain, who will race over 1000m; and Germany’s Konstanze Klosterhalfen, the European indoor 5000m record-holder.
All three of Norway’s Ingebrigtsen brothers, Henrik, Filip, and Jakob, are also on the slate. It wasn’t immediately announced which distance they would race. The men’s programme includes both the 1500m and 5000m.
