Fisherman Held with Cocaine in St Ann

Jamaica News, St Ann: A Clarendon fisherman was arrested and charged in connection with the seizure of over one million dollar worth of cocaine, along the Mammee Bay main road, in the parish of St Ann, on Sunday, May 19.

Facing charges of, Possession of cocaine, Dealing in cocaine and using motor vehicle as conveyance is, 40-year-old Marlon Risden, fisherman of Rocky Point in Clarendon.

Reports are that about 1:30 p.m., on Sunday, officers attached to the Narcotics division intercepted a Toyota Mark X motor car, which was being driven by Risden along the Mammee Bay main road.

Following a search of the vehicle, the lawmen found a rectangular shaped parcel inside the trunk which contained cocaine.

Risden was taken into custody and subsequently charged. He is booked to appear in the St Ann Parish Court this Wednesday, May 22
