A team of officers assigned to the St. Catherine North Police Division seized a firearm and six rounds of ammunition during an operation along Sligoville main road in the parish on Tuesday, January 17.
Reports are that about 4:00 p.m., lawmen were in the area when a premises was searched and one Taurus 9mm pistol with a magazine containing six 9mm rounds of ammunition was found.
No one was arrested in relation to this seizure.
Investigations continue.
